Snow-covered Pine Trees

Painting snow-covered trees is a lot like putting frosting on a cake. If you don’t apply the frosting in the right manner, it gets messy. When you paint contrasting values atop one another, you run that risk of making mud.

In this lesson, I’ll show and explain in an oil demo how to set up this subject matter and apply clean stroke application. Whether or not you’re a snow scene enthusiast, this is a good lesson for learning clean, confident mark-making.
